Winamp output plugin was working fine with windows7. The same plugin returns with an error : 'unable to initialize output device - restart  Musicbee and try again(BASS_OK) ' in windows 11.  (The Laptop is brand new)

Tried with the latest winamp v5.8 and also older versions, none of them worked with the latest (and also older) version of Musicbee. Musicbee ignores the selected out_ds.dll and restores previous output device. If i select out_ds.dll and then click configure, musicbee crashes and exits. All sound and video card drivers are up to date and functioning properly.

if its just outputting using direct sound (just a guess from its name), why not just choose the directsound option in musicbee?
I doubt there is anything i can do to solve it if it was working on windows 7

I  used the winamp plugin because it sounds a bit better to me and the configurable fade lenght during start and skipping of the song.
Directsound is also fine. Thank you.

I found that the problem is in the latest Winamp versions. The output plugin in Winamp v5.3 and later causes Musicbee to crash in windows 11.
But the output plugin in Winamp v5.0, v5.1, v5.2  works just fine. Also gapless playback and crossfade works bugless.
Winamp output plugin is highly configurable in terms of fade in fade out and cache size. The sound is old style and very clear compared to directsound.
