virtual device?

i'm using mb 3.5.8211 P now and can't find 'set folder as virtual device' in folder's context menu. also 'sync links' (my plugin) device preview shows empty track list in sync preview. has somethig changed lately with virtual device management in last mb versions?

'set folder as virtual device' in folder's context menu was removed ages ago and needs to be done via the Preferences/ Devices panel.
For the 2nd point, i dont think anything has intentionally changed but i have been addressing some issues for the iPod plugin so its possible something has been broken

i've succeeded to set up folder as virtual device, but sync links plugin is not working. what is strange: *sync preview* is not working, i.e. no or almost no plugin code is invoked at this stage.
