Along with disabling resizing of panels this would really solidify the panel arrangement (making things more OCD-proof
). Think this would be more intuitive than just dragging to resize.
Boom, album artist panel 256px wide. Boom, playing tracks 50% tall, along with track information. Right sidebar in same width as left main panel, et cetera.
