Seeing that this forum seems to be well fostered, I hope my question can be adressed after searching multiple times for any clue unsuccessfully. So, (after having found out my Music Bee has been installed through the WIndows 10 Microsoft Store instead through a regular .exe install, I now want to revert back to exactly that in order to be able to install Music Bee Remote, which I'm told has to be installed together in the MusicBee installation folder, since Windows 10 apps folders does not demostrate the order of a regular installation directory folder as of a program istalled manually/outside of the Microsoft Store (C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\) (as ).) While wishing my issue wasn't as complicated, is there a way to reinstall Music Bee going from a Windows 10 install to a normal install and to restore all own settings + library etc while doing that? Thanks in advance,
Matthew Heben

I've never used the Store version, but what you're looking to do should be possible.

First off download the latest Portable version of MB (not the Installer) and place it in a directory outside of Windows control. I suggest something like C:\MusicBee. This will work even while the Store version is installed. The major plus of using the Portable version is that if while trying to configure it like your previous version, you can easily delete it and start over. Also, backing up is as simple as copying C:\MusicBee to a flash drive or some other device and restoring from there.

- In menu bar of your Store version > Edit > Saved Settings > Save Settings Snapsho.
- In the menu bar of your Store version > Import/Export > Export Panel Arrangement.
- Open the Portable version and restore (load) the saved settings, followed by importing the panel arrangement.
- Once you're satisfied that the Portable version is to your liking, you can uninstall the Store version. And live happily ever after.

Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.
