Can I rip the same CD in two different formats (e.g, FLAC and MP3) in MB, and will both album covers appear on my MB displays? If so, will/can this duplication be a problem for MB, Windows Explorer, or VLC on Android? Thank you.

You'll probably have to give each CD a different album title. Such as "My Album (flac)" and "My Album (mp3)"

I can't speak to the other applications you mentioned, but you'd probably have no issues if the album had different titles.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Yes, I see, thanks. I'm now reminded that when I was learning MB, I'd append "Disc #" to rips of multi-disc albums and wind up with multiple cover art. I didn't like it, and it took a while to understand the organizing importance of that album field.

Wonder why you want to do this.

If this is because you want to use the MP3 on a mobile, in a car, etc, , rip to FLAC only
Use the sync option to transcode to MP3
