My laptop suddenly died while on a 2-month travel.  I bought a new laptop and downloaded MusicBee and added a few albums before returning home where my music files had been backed-up.  Unfortunately, I had not backed-up the appdata file.  How can I import all the backed-up music files without the old laptop's appdata file?  Do I need to remove the new music files I ripped in first?  Help!

Hi, welcome to the forum!

You can safely scan your music files into the new library, no need to remove any that have been added in the meantime. Your appdata files would affect layout and some customized settings. Your library file would contain information about play counts and date added. In your situation, you'll be starting from scratch on those fronts, but none of that affects the audio files themselves.
