what i have done is added front.jpg as another file to check for (although in your case it sounds like you have manually linked in MB anyway), but also i have changed auto-detected folder.jpj, cover.jpg and front.jpg to default the picture type to Album Cover. Also when synching, if the picture type is Other, set the picture type to Album Cover on the device.
One last thing i have done, is if the safe removal fails due to admin privileges, it tries a different method for safe removal and if that also fails it will show a friend error message

Hi Steven,

Tried at home and the artwork issue is resolved. Thank you very much. No issues disconnecting in Vista, and I will try 1st thing in the morning on my work computer.

Hi Steven,

Disconnecting the iPod on the XP Pro Admin rights machine is working well. I've tried it numerous times and it disconnects without issue. Thank you for the fix.
