Whenever I play a playlist, album, genre etc I have a list of tracks on the right side of my GUI above the track information and album art. When I have the sorting for that list set to Upcoming Tracks I can only view the current and queued tracks. When I sort the list by Playing Tracks the list is sorted chronologically with the way the library or playlist is sorted.
I'm wondering if there's a way to show the previously played tracks.

I can across this post https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=28743.0 however, the solution seems only applicable to playlists and not albums, artist panels or other tabs with predefined sorting.

Listening to an Album that is shuffled.
The list on the right is sorted by the queue of Upcoming Tracks. Only the current and next tracks are viewable. Previously played tracks are not viewable.

Listening to an Album that is shuffled.
The queue on the right is sorted by Playing Tracks. The list on the right is not in queued order. It is sorted in the chronological order of the album. As I'm listening shuffled the track below the one being played will not be next and the same goes for the track above respectively.

The answer to "is it possible?" is definitely yes. How to do it depends on your specific circumstances. Do you have "shuffle" turned on in the player?

I believe so. Is shuffle not on in the image?

Also, regarding that other post I'm a bit confused as to what a history node is and how to add it.

You probably have the setting to prune previously played tracks set to "on" in now playing settings (I think that's where it is... I'm not in front of the computer to verify which menu it's listed under).

Playing tracks list with that setting off sounds like what you want.

To make playing tracks work the way you want, I suggest turning shuffle OFF in the player and using the "play shuffled" option for playlists (right click on the playlist). You can do the same for an album, but you may have to select the tracks and right click, then go into the Play More... menu.

This should help with the history node: https://musicbee.fandom.com/wiki/Navigator
