Author Topic: MusicBee not adding new music  (Read 1570 times)

I have MusicBee 3.4.8033 Store on my computer running Windows 10 Pro and it has suddenly stopped adding any of my new music to the list.    I have added several new albums to some of my favorite artists but none of them is showing up in MusicBee.   I have my preferences set to monitor the Music folder at all times but still only the one original album for one artist has shown up.  Can anyone help me get this to start scanning and adding my other music?  I have about 60 more songs in 4 albums to add to it!!

Are the files seen in Windows Explorer?
Have you looked in MB's Inbox?

Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Are the files seen in Windows Explorer?  Yes, everyone of them shows up in Windows Explorer and they will play on MusicBee from there but I have to go in and select each file one by one as they finish playing.

Have you looked in MB's Inbox?  I just checked it and it is totally empty.

Make note of the path where the 'missing' files are (using Windows Explorer.)
Open MB's computer node from the left sidebar navigator.
Go to the directory where the 'missing' files are.
Select them > right-click > send to > music library
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Open MB's computer node from the left sidebar navigator.

I have no idea what this is.  Is there any way  you can post a screen shot to show me what it is?

Yes, that helped a great deal!!  Finally figured out the problem with finding the Computer Node was the fact that I had closed the left side bar!!  So now I can go try Phred's suggestion and see if that works.
