NOTE: While I first noticed the below when trying to perform synchronisation, I've found that I get the same error in the Format Converter. It seems to be a consequence of using lossyWAV - if I perform FLAC conversion without lossyWAV, it works without issue.

I've got a fresh installation of Windows in which I'm trying to synchronise files to an MP3 player. This was all working fine before I reformatted, but I'm now having issues due to the format conversion.

When sychronising, I get the following error for every file:

Unable to open temporary WAV file (error=BASS_ERROR_FILEOPEN)

and all tracks fail. I've set up the synchronisation to convert all files to FLAC, using lossyWAV as well. The input files are FLAC ones that MusicBee is able to play without issue.

Is anyone please able to offer some insight as to why this isn't working?

I'm using MusicBee 3.4.8033

If MusicBee continues to supply lossyWAV.exe and its encoding parameters with its installation, I would recommend that the file version and parameters be changed to those in the topic linked to by Wheels2050 so that the option works for those choosing to use it.
