If your phone has the ability to use UPnP/DLNA as a receiver, then you could try MB's UPnP/DLNA plugin. Be warned however, that it works for some folks and not for others. When it doesn't work, it can become a memory hog on your PC to the point of causing a crash.

You might want to take a look at Subsonic or even better Airsonic. I've been using Subsonic for about ten years, but it was abandoned by it's developer and has not been updated in at least six years. Airsonic is a fork and works well. I've been using it for about a month. I can be anywhere in the world that has WiFi and from my phone, reach my server at home and listen to my music. It has nothing to do with MB. You point Airsonic to where your music files and playlists live and it does the rest.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.
