I don't remember ever having this issue before: when I change the sort order of a playlist, it changes the sort order of all playlists.

I referred to this thread to no avail: https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=25519.0

My playlist settings is as so:

However, changing from manual sort order to this changes it for every playlist:

As seen here:

And, changing it back to manual order here:

Changes it back to manual order on the first one:

What version of MB are you using? (Help > About)
How was MB installed? (Store, Installer, Portable)
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

I can't recall anything changing along these lines recently, but it wouldn't hurt to update to the latest patch.  See my signature.

Sure, can you tell me the version number that yours is before I install it?

I can reproduce the issue for the Album Covers view so i guess its a bug that i will look to fix.
As long as each playlist is configured for custom fields, then the Track Details and Album & Tracks view works as expected

3.4.8001, but the latest patch may be a higher version number since I patched two or three days ago.

But as Steven says, it's a bug and he'll looking into fixing it.

Apologies for not responding: I had intended to do so then I got these messages but I was having trouble on my phone.

Anyway, good to know it's reproducible. I'm looking forward to the patch!

This should fix the issue:
https://getmusicbee.com/patches/MusicBee34_Patched.zip
unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files

Thanks Steven. I just installed this patch but I'm experiencing the same issue. I don't think this fixed it unfortunately. Changing the sort order still changes the sorting for other playlists, as well as the sorting for my library itself.

i wont be able to help any further with this as its working fine for me after the fix.
If its updating the library sorting then that means you are not updating a custom field playlist

Ah, you're right. Somehow the playlist got set back to "use default". Setting it back to custom fixed it. Much appreciated!
