I swear that there was a shuffe option on the player control, but apparently it's gone. Or actually this option never existed?

Now I need to click on the left bar to activate this feature.

(edit: just found an old screenshot on google and thre was the shuffe button 😮😮😮

There has always been a shuffle icon in the player controls. It might be skin dependent, so try with another skin and see if it appears.
I'm current on 3.4.7918 P with the player controls at the bottom.

The headphone icon is the shuffle button…
You currently have it set to auto-dj.

Nice catch. I guess I don't use Auto-DJ all that often. I'm either shuffling or not.

I never liked Auto-DJ being combined with the Shuffle button, for exactly this reason. Thankfully, it's easily fixed.

Uncheck Auto-DJ in the Preferences > Layout (1) options and the shuffle button in the main window becomes an on/off toggle, without the third Auto-DJ state.

Bee excellent to each other...

Uncheck Auto-DJ in the Preferences > Layout (1) options and the shuffle button in the main window becomes an on/off toggle, without the third Auto-DJ state.
While doing this disables the appearance of the headphone (Auto-DJ) icon, the tool tip still shows "Auto-DJ." In addition, and more importantly, "Auto-DJ" disappears from the left-navigator. But I suppose if one wants to use Auto-DJ, then one would want the option to quickly turn it on/off from the icon as it is now.
