GMMP Wifi Sync Issue

New to both Musicbee and GMMP. Installed latest versions this week, but cannot sync over wifi to bring through playcount stats.

ERROR LOG

2021-08-04: SM-G973F;  11;  2.0.0
13:52:08: sendStats: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /storage/emulated/0/gmmp/stats.xml: open failed: EACCES (Permission denied)

When selecting Preview Sync get the following

"A non-recoverable error occurred during the synchronization process. Restart the app and try again."

Seem various posts on the topic, but not solutions. Not particularly techy so no idea what I need to do. BTW Playcount sync worked with PowerAmp (just wish it had smart playlists).

From what I remember you need to generate the file in GMMP the first time using the backup feature.

Please note that the reverse sync will not work no matter what you do on Android 11.
