Sorry to bump Steven, but should that element have any effect on auto-generated header lowlight values?

It's <element id="Panel.ChildHeader.Default" bg="157,35,56" bg2="241,222,141" fg="244,238,195" bdr="240,202,86" />

The auto-generated lowlight fg colour works fine with only single bg, but when a gradient is applied on the header the lowlight doesn't always work well (refer to image in OP).

I thought the v3.4 element
<element id="ContrastBoost">0.2</element>
might be used to address this but no luck so far.

which skin is it? Looking at the code, its the active tab that gets a brightness adjustment and the inactive tabs should be using the fg from Panel.ChildHeader.Default
but it would be good if i can check your skin to confirm that as it doesnt seem to match up with the colours you state

infact it uses the same fg for all the tabs unless you have slim icons enabled, and the active tab uses bold font

The skin is Caribou Migration from the Tundra series (it occurs in all the Tundra skins)
I do have "SlimIcons" set to true, and that causes the auto colour problem
If I set it to false, the one fg/active tab bold settings take over and problem is solved.
But I do prefer the slim icons for this skin.

This should be better even without ContrastBoost
if you do set contrastboost, it will ramp up the fg some more for the inactive tabs

Thank you very much Steven.
Working great without the need for the contrastboost.

I would like to bump up the contrast for those fields, and I thought the ContrastBoost element would help me out...but I see it's not set to have any effect on these.
So if it's not too much trouble, can the aforementioned element be given a handle on these fields as well? Thanks in advance.
