Never seen it here, but have never used W10 to tag anything which it seems was causing the corruption with FLAC. Some people were coming up with sporadic playback issues on another forum and wondering if bassflac.dll was to blame but this seems a more likely candidate.
Before using that script I would look at the FLAC files with mp3tag and see if any show ID3 tags instead of/in addition to Vorbis, and remove the ID3. In cases where ID3 tags on FLAC must be retained due to device compatiblity the re-save you describe may do the trick, otherwise a whole tag removal/replacement should do it also (arrgh!).
