Playing tracks in Mini mode stuck on Track w/ Thumbnail

A while ago I updated Musicbee to a "patched" version of v3.4 (found here) trying to troubleshoot a different problem, but ever since then the track list in mini mode has been stuck on "Track with Thumbnail" regardless of what layout setting I use.
Today I updated to v3.4.7805 via the latest installer, but this issue still persists.
The panel layout settings work fine in the standard full player, it's only the mini player that ignores the setting.

Is this an issue that only I'm experiencing, maybe because of that patch?
And is there anyway to fix it?

If you are using the Large Album view for the mini-player then it looks like there is a bug where the setting is being ignored so i will try to fix it
