Pressing Keyboard Media Play button pauses and then unpauses song immediately

While a song is playing, if I hit the Media Play/Pause button on my keyboard, the currently playing song pauses and then continues playing immediately.
Similarly, if the song is paused, and I hit the Media Play/Pause button, the song plays and then pauses immediately.
This is observed to be happening on both v3.4.7764 as well as v3.4.7805.

I noticed that the plugin was developed by you. Can you please look into as to why the plugin is causing this issue? As it is quite a helpful plugin, I would really appreciate it if it gets fixed.

@michaelfcorker: You have to disable the default integrated media key shortcuts, then it should work.

I have this problem with the media keys, but only when I first press the media keys after MB start.
The first press is performed twice.
This problem only appeared in the last MB versions.
I don`t use the windows media control plugin.

Maybe it is a change in the current Windows 10 versions?

Mediakeys are configurated in the Shortcuts menu.
"global" on/off has no effect.

Back and Next mediakeys work well.
Only first pressing Play/Pause Mediakey will performed twice after MB is started and MB is the active screen.



Dell Precision 15, i5 6440HQ, clean windows 10 pro installation, MB is the only other software on this laptop.

Rather than telling us what PC you're using, better information to provide is:
What version of MB are you using? (Help > About)
How was MB installed? (Store, Installer, Portable)

Installed with Installer from this website
clean installation without any customer configuration
reinstalled and tested today

Sorry for necroing but I just wanted to reply for anybody who stumbles across this in the future. Just disable the Play/Pause shortcut in the MusicBee Hotkeys settings and you can continue to use the Windows Media Player plugin (infact make sure to use it or the hotkey may not work at all). This is also the fix for that annoying issue where pausing on music bee starts playing on another app and vice-verse.
