Hi,

sorry if that has been asked before...after syncing files to an external player the playback volume is very low. No pregains or other options enabled...even increasing the volume adjustment under settings for an album doesn't change this. Overall I have to turn up the volume to full to get normal levels, let alone listening to music louder  :-\

This occurred after I recently up moved to the latest version of musicbee

Thanks for any advice

C.

Are you referring to the playback volume on the player?
Which player?
All tracks, or just some?
Please post a screenshot of MB's device settings.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Yes, the playback volume on the player. Its turned up all the way but the volume is too low.

I am using a Sansa Clip+. Brand new so no setting change

It affects all tracks.

Are you using volume leveling? Either on MB overall, and/or in MB's settings for the device?
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

No I don't. I in fact removed all volume leveling because I thought this might be the issue.

Your settings just have mb doing a straight copy of the files to the device. MB doesn't appear to be doing anything but copying the file.

Maybe your player's output gain isn't strong enough to drive whatever headphones you're trying to use with it?

It's possibly the region setting on the Sansa Clip - when sold in the EU the output volume is seriously restricted.
If this is the case you will need to:
1. Reset the Sansa player to factory settings Settings > System Settings > Reset Factory Settings
2. Set the region as Rest of World.
3. Change volume setting to High: Settings > System Settings > Volume > High

Plenty of info if you google search 'Sansa Clip low volume'.

That did indeed do the trick - thanks very much for the advice!

My google search did not turn up this particular advice but since I am searching from Europe this may be the reason....or I am not as good at searching as I thought  :-X
