For the next update, you can add your own playlist specific header image that is associated with a custom playlist picture.
If for example you have a playlist "Test.mbp" and you associate a custom picture, then the file "Test.jpg" will be added to the same folder the playlist is stored.
To also include a custom header, add your own file named: "Test.Header.jpg"

This has the change:

unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files

Awesome, thank you! It's working great.

Just a question: how is the image ratio calculated? Currently it's stretching the image, so I'd like to know the exact dimensions I should be making my playlist header artwork so they won't stretch. I'll either add transparency to the sides or crop off the top and bottom, whichever looks better.

EDIT: Looks like it's dynamic based on window size. So there's no one size fits all ratio.

The ratio mine uses is 113:7 (1469x91 pixels), so I'll have to keep that number handy when resizing images.

Okay, I'm noticing an issue. Remember a while back you fixed the issue where playlist images with transparency would show random colours in place of their transparency? That issue seems to have returned when using custom header images:

the same link has been updated to fill in the transparent parts of a custom header

I've replaced the exe but the problem still occurs I'm afraid. Tried removing playlist picture and re-setting it to no avail.
As well, the version number is the same. Though I notice the md5 is different.

It's a great feature! Thank you for implementation.

I'd like the following abilities additionally:

  1. Set/remove a custom header from context menu.
  2. Set/remove a custom header to/from a playlist folder.

Sorry if it's already possible (I'm using MusicBee 3.5.8048).

Thank you for considering

playlist folders should be working now and i have added direct support in the context menu to add/ remove the custom playlist picture.
Also the foreground text colour can be overridden

What a great update! This fulfills my wishlist request here as well, with the ability to change text colour! https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=36040.msg197206#msg197206

Just one thing that would make this even better: allow us to change the colour of each aspect of the text. Title, description, and track stats. I'd love to be able to change just the description colour, for example.

EDIT: Just finished making headers for all my labels' autoplaylists: https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=2258.msg197261#msg197261

Really wish the text could be individually adjusted. Setting the colour to white still makes the description grey, which is hard to read in some of these.
