Much too tough, reductionist even; but fun trying:

After not being able to decide on three gems among 6 to 12 from Creedence Clearwater Revival, my favorite world rockers, I submit:

Hotel California -Eagles, Hell Freezes Over version
You're No Good -Linda Ronstadt, Live in Hollywood version
With A Little Help From My Friends and Come Together tied  :-\   :-*  -The Beatles

Thanks for sharing!

This is exactly what I intended when creating this topic.
It's not about what music you value the most at this moment in your life.
it's about what confused and rocked your musical senses in the early years of your existence.
No need to explain or understand why.

'Love Don't Work This Way' - The Househouse Flowers
First heard this in a teenage disco held in a school gym hall & danced like I was possessed.  This song made me realise there's more to music than just 'Pop'

'Say What You Want' - Texas f. Wu-Tang Clan
Sometimes 2 + 2 = 5.   Don't get boxed in with genres.  I don't particularly like either band but they made a great song when they collaborated.  Other examples of people crossing boundaries might include Jah Wobble, Sinead O'Connor and Onra.

'Köln, January 24, 1975, Part I' - Keith Jarrett
A few years ago, I was getting a bit jaded with the music I was hearing.  Then this album!  One man and a piano totally dominated the listening space for an hour.  Total immersive experience.  You can hear his fingers working the keys, working the foot pedals and breathing through his nose.  Incredible.
