'Love Don't Work This Way' - The Househouse Flowers
First heard this in a teenage disco held in a school gym hall & danced like I was possessed. This song made me realise there's more to music than just 'Pop'
'Say What You Want' - Texas f. Wu-Tang Clan
Sometimes 2 + 2 = 5. Don't get boxed in with genres. I don't particularly like either band but they made a great song when they collaborated. Other examples of people crossing boundaries might include Jah Wobble, Sinead O'Connor and Onra.
'Köln, January 24, 1975, Part I' - Keith Jarrett
A few years ago, I was getting a bit jaded with the music I was hearing. Then this album! One man and a piano totally dominated the listening space for an hour. Total immersive experience. You can hear his fingers working the keys, working the foot pedals and breathing through his nose. Incredible.
