Hi,

I've tagged some of my music and now it has an "Initial Key" tag. I can see this in MusicBee in the Tag Inspector as name "INITIAL KEY" and Tag Code "TKEY".

How do I get MusicBee to display this in the "Track Information" section? I've tried adding <INITIALKEY>, <INITIAL KEY>, "<INITIAL KEY>" and <TKEY> but it doesn't work, so I guess I'm missing something?

Same as some other not commonly used tags you will need to make it available first by creating a custom tag for it.

Yep, and TKEY is one of the pre-configured custom tags, so all you have to do is link it to a custom tag slot.

Brilliant thanks that's sorted it. I wasn't sure it was working at first, but had to wait for a rescan.

Hmmm so how do you set it up so it's displayed as a custom tag?  I went into settings and see Custom Tags under the Tags (1) section.  Do I simply choose custom tag 1 and rename it Initail Key and then in the drop-down choose Initail Key under SAVE TO MUSIC FILE AS TAG?

From the sounds of it that is going to write to the file when I instead want to just read the Initial Key from the file and display it in my music Library.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that should work.
