When you do this, does it convert the file to PCM 44/16?

If that's normal audio cd format, then yes. Unless you set it to make a data disc.

Although most of mine were ripped from CDs into WAV or FLAC format, some are DSD files from "NativeDSD". Because some of my devices won't read DSD files, I've made FLAC files, using the File Converter tool, and they work fine. I haven't tried to burn any CDs yet, because in my home I use either MB on my computer, or my BluOS system synced to my computer (that last one won't read DSD files), and my current car won't read CDs.
