As someone who has a ton of handmade playlists, nothing hurts my soul more than updating list orders, realizing too late that you had something in the search bar, and watching as a playlist of thousands of songs becomes a playlist of five with no obvious way to undo.

I genuinely believe the playlist backup feature Musicbee has--in the form of exporting static copies--should be on by default.  Even better would be giving playlists undo states but this should be easier to prevent than it is currently.

An alternative solution to the same problem could be simply not letting "update play order" be an option when a search is active on a playlist, or at least prevent it from working so destructively.  Or a warning prompt if "update play order" is going to remove hundreds of songs so that the user's aware before a two-second mouseclick undoes days of playlisting progress.
