Failed to open...  I've been using MB for a short time and generally quite happy. However, I've been encoding my old iPod files from M4A to mp3. A number of files fail to open, these things happen. How can I get a list of all the files that failed to open? It will be torture going through thousands of tracks one by one just to see if they work!

Be sure that none of the old M4A files have DRM, or they will fail.  It might help to upload one of the M4A files that fails to open after encoding to MP3, so someone here can take a look at it.  Also, it wouldn't hurt to update your bassenc.dll to the latest public release version (2.4.15.0) depending on what version of MB you are running (http://www.un4seen.com/download.php?bassenc24).

You aren't clear if "fail to open" applies to the MP3 encoded file, or the original M4A.  If the latter is the case you might try the option here: https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=23454.msg136904#msg136904 .
