@Steven- thanks for adding this. It would appear that this will only work for tracks that are in static playlists, correct? Auto-playlists are ignored. At least in my testing.

I've only tried it by adding tracks to the Playing Tracks List.
If the track I'm trying to add is already in the list, I get a pop-up letting me know that it's already there. (love it)

I'm assuming you misspoke.
It's supposed to work when a track is added to a playlist. Not the playing tracks list. I don't even see a right-click > add to playing tracks.

I did not misspeak.  I actually wished for this a while back.  It was supposed to be added to a prior update.
Just glad it made it.
