Hi All,

As per the subject, I've recently (some time late last year) updated to using the portable version of Musicbee 3.3.7491 P after having used the installer version for quite a few years. When I pop a CD that's HDCD into my drive, the remastered version of Siren by Roxy Music I cannot get Musicbee to recognise it as HDCD, not when ripping as there's no HDCD prompt as there used to be, or by playing.

Does this mean ripping HDCD's can no longer be ripped as 24 bit by Musicbee?

Thanks

Assuming you have the plug-in installed and it's active:

Hi frankz,

Thanks for the response, I did read that post earlier regarding theDSD woes and thought it might be related. I'm not running Windows 10 though.

I do now have the plugin installed and enabled. I did it immediately after posting. For some reason I assumed it was included as I don't have any recollection of installing the plug-in on the installer version.

But, even with the plug-in installed and activated as per the instructions, there's still no HDCD prompt when ripping.

Sussed it, it seems the following is needed to prompt for 24 Bit when ripping:

The plug-in on its own does not suffice, the hdcd.exe is required in the Musicbee folder.
