Hello, I have three versions of an album in my artist folder in my Music folder (on my drive).

One being the original, 2013 release "THE LIGHT THAT YOU GAVE ME TO SEE YOU":

Second being the slightly altered 2014 version, bearing the same name, just not all caps, "The Light That You Gave Me To See You"

and the third, being the 2016 vinyl edition, again titled "The Light That You Gave Me To See You".

Now with all these three albums having their separate folders, different years in the YEAR tag, the album title remains the same, although one is in all caps, they all still get categorized into one album on MB, as you can see here -> https://i.imgur.com/uoDnypP.png

How do I separate them into 3 albums, like I have it in my Windows directory for example?

Thank you.

Preferences > Sorting/Grouping > grouping > the following fields define an album > add 'year'
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

If ALL of your albums are in their own folders, you can set "files for each album are organized in their own folder" there for the same effect.  Depending on how your albums are tagged, it may be the better option. For example, I tag songs from compilations with each song's individual release year, so if you also do this setting "Year" here will break those.

This solved exactly what I needed.

Thanks so much!

You're welcome. But keep frankz's suggestion in mind.
