Because of a scare I had with my music ripper player, Songbird, on an old Windows XP machine I have been looking around for something a bit more modern.
I use this computer with an M-Audio card to juice my home stereo system.
I have about 140gb of music collected which covers the last 20 years or so. It is in FLAC.
I have been able to just shove a CD in the player, have it ripped to FLAC and categorized according to genre, title and artist.

I am hoping MusicBee will do the same and that there is a way to import all those FLAC files.
The thought of having to re-rip all that music is mind numbing even if I had access to it all still.

So here I am with a big question mark over my head.

Help?
Greg

PS
My newer computer is a Win7 64 bit.

What?  Grouping how?  Do you mean organizing the files into folders on your computer or something else? The wiki I previously linked you to has information on both concepts.

I figured it out.
I'm really liking what I am seeing so far. Whoever wrote this program did good.
My next feat will be to import my volumes of music from Songbird's past.

One other question.
Is there a way to specify more places to look for album info on the net? I had one album search come back with the wrong cover and no titles for the tracks.
