From the hiccup-phred consortium, and pursuant to this: https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=33741.msg184852#msg184852
this may be a bug or something that was overlooked. Or perhaps it was never implemented.

It appears that while in Track Details view the custom column widths aren't saved by any of the backup methods MB has.
When dragging a column to a specific width and saving a custom view, the width is not retained. Neither is it retained when restoring from a backed up settings (Edit > Saved Settings) or the panel arrangement (View > Import/Export)

Adding to that, I would wish for a back-up function of the columns settings that actually works as a backup.

So not the 'copy settings to…' feature that has more resemblance to creating a temporary snapshot that can get overwritten without you even realising it, but an actual backup file that will not get altered and can be restored at any time.

Column widths are saved in the settings file for the default view or separately in each custom view file.
For default views the values should be saved in the "Save Settings Snapshot" command (just tested that and confirmed it works). That wont work if a custom view is active as the widths are in the view file.
For the "Export Panel Arrangement" command, i think is a bug where its not refreshing the panel widths

The "Import Panel Arrangement" bug is fixed now
https://getmusicbee.com/patches/MusicBee34_Patched.zip

keep in mind custom view settings stay with the custom view and are not impacted by settings imports
