So, basically, what I want to do is make MusicBee update the tags in some files that I've already tagged accordingly. Usually, this happens automatically (since I set it like that) when I re-open it, but some albums seem to be 'glitched' in some way and even with 'Send To ---> File Re-scan' they do not update. What can I do? Thank you.

I think it would help to have a specific example. What's a track where a tag was updated but doesn't show up in MusicBee after a rescan? What format it is it? What do you find for that tag in the tag inspector?

Are you using Custom Tabs, or standard tabs?
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

I'm tagging using MP3tag. I haven't customised any tabs.

I've had an album tagged 'Folk' and yet it still retained its old tag (Folk, World and Country and Pop) in Genre, but I've since deleted it and got it from another source, the problem is no more since they are not, apparently, the same files and I deleted the old ones anyways. I've just found an example, though: https://i.imgur.com/8L8kbBW.png compare with https://i.imgur.com/3cqoVSx.png where both Artist and Album Artists are "Ling Tosite Sigure (凛として時雨)" yet the tag is still "Ling tosite sigure" (presumably the old tag it had), this only happens with this one album from "Ling Tosite Sigure (凛として時雨)", even where the others where tagged the same becfore I re-tagged them. There's one that's even worse, here: https://i.imgur.com/k8mOToQ.png compare with https://i.imgur.com/fT19v8v.png. Of course, 'LBUM ARTIST' and 'LBUM' were never tags at all (Album Artists tags, apparently), yet they do not disappear even after these albums have been tagged properly. I have no idea why this happened and a file re-scan does nothing. As for format, all my files are MP3 always.

Whenever you make changes (tagging, artwork, moving, etc) outside of MB, you need to rescan the files -in- MB so it can pick up the changes.
Select the files > right-click > File Rescan
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

This is a known windows bug. See https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=20204.0.

I'll give a more thorough reply when I can type better...

I have it set so that it scans file changes on start-up. 99% of the time, it works, and it let me knows in the status bar at the bottom that X number of files have been updated. In this case, though, as it says in the post "and even with 'Send To ---> File Re-scan' they do not update.", so, yeah, does not work either :(.

Thank you, will be waiting for it. No use about that one, then. I'll see if I can get the files downloaded again and see what happens then.

Another example I found, where somehow the artist is tagged with two tags (one was the old tag) only in two songs, for some reason. https://i.imgur.com/dX6clD5.png compare with https://i.imgur.com/g1Q4ph9.png.

Are we supposed to be able to decipher the text in these images?

I'm still curious about what you find if you open these files with the tag inspector. That will show the tag values actually in the file

What's likely happening is you're using MP3TAG to update the <Artist> (which is ARTIST in MP3TAG) tag, while your second screenshot is showing MusicBee's <Artist (displayed)> tag. You will need to "Format value" ARTIST to DISPLAY ARTIST.

EDIT: Actually, that might not be what's happening, but try it anyway.

This is the Tag Inspector for one of the Akira Terao files: https://i.imgur.com/PMuKQ4y.png
MP3Tag should show the actual tag values, too, though, so I don't see how these two would show in the Inspector like this and not in MP3Tag.

https://i.imgur.com/wHEO7E1.png. Apparently, there's a Tag Code that is 'TXXX/ALBUM ARTIST' while the "actual" one is 'TPE2'. I have no idea where this tag appeared.
https://i.imgur.com/iqG7ek9.png. I also found this. In the APEv2 format, the artist is indeed 'Ling tosite sigure' and not 'Ling Tosite Sigure (凛として時雨)'. How do I make MusicBee choose which format to use (since MP3tag modified the ID3v2.
It also seems like the APEv2 Format was used by whoever tagged the files previously, and for some reason MusicBee is using this format over the other. It's clear here: https://i.imgur.com/bCrR2v1.png compared with https://i.imgur.com/m0iTnoY.png and https://i.imgur.com/3EmMGE4.png.
