Thanks.  Problem fixed here.  Sorry it didn't solve what others were seeing (maybe phred's was semi-related?).

Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

I'll post something here if I see it again.
I dont think the change i made will have any impact for your case. Could you send me your settings file. Could you also include a zip of the MusicBee\AppData\Saved Settings folder as well for the custom views and layouts you might be using

I forgot to mention in the PM that you should try to reproduce using the two most recent settings and layouts. Although there should be much difference between the two.

I have tried for quite a while switching tabs, and doing a search that opens another tab and havent been able to reproduce. If you do discover a way to reliably reproduce then let me know. Also check the error log when it next happens to see if anything is logged around the time it happens
