Also, when i click the OK button the message just keeps popping up over & over until i have to exit program from the tray icon options list.

Does MB actually launch? If not, exactly how did you apply the patch? I'm thinking that you're running the .exe inside the patch zip. Which is incorrect. You have to unzip the files and overwrite your existing installation, letting the old files get overwritten.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.
