Musicbee not updating to latest version.

Huh. After you run the installer, do you see a change in date modified of MusicBee.exe?

I doubt this is the problem, but if you're putting it on an external drive anyway, I would suggest switching to the portable version so all the files are in one place. Otherwise you still have all your settings in your user AppData folder on the C: and risk losing those.

There is no change on the date modified after running the installer.
So how u want me to switch to portable version now?
I tried to download from this https://getmusicbee.com/downloads/
MusicBee 3.3.7491
but it asked nothing about switching (which usually installer do).Maybe i guess as it is already installed.thats why it didn't ask?

I think you would need to make sure your AppData, Library, and program files are backed up, then uninstall and reinstall. Once you install the portable version, your AppData files will be in the installation folder and you can over write them with your backups.

Many thanks for helping me out and i did as you instructed. All is fine ,moreover now i don't have to worry about settings neither to move internal cache to E drive anymore.Actually i never know that standalone or portable version has such benefits.
Now it is updated the way it should be.
