New user. Just made a playlist. How can I export it to a friend? (obviously, they must install MUSICBEE on their device).

Technically a playlist is nothing more than a text file containing the path to each music file. So in order to send the playlist to someone else, it not only needs the text file, but also the music files. The recipient must use the same path on their computer as specified in the original text file. And they don't necessarily need MB. Most modern music players have an import playlist function. The tricky part here is to know what playlist format the recipient's player accepts.

To set the path and format: Preferences > Library > playlists. You may have to find out from the recipient what their player needs in order for you to correctly configure this section.

Once that's set simply right-click on the playlist and select 'export playlist.' You see the standard Windows 'save as' dialog box and your should be all set.

Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.
