Art Work Disappears

I know there is probably a simple explanation to what I am doing wrong, but I can't figure it out.  When I attach Art Work to a file it changes the Art Work for all the music files I have. Sometimes I find the missing ones, reinstall , then they become the main photo.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing incorrectly and how to fix or stop it from taking place in the future?
