I recently reinstalled musicbee onto my pc, after experiencing some issues with a different music player I was using. I have my library stored in a folder located on my external hard drive. The scan folders option, however, does not seem to be working, as I open the "choose folders" dialogue, navigate to my folder, select it and press "OK", but the "Proceed" button in the scan folders dialogue remains grayed out - in fact, nothing seems to change in that window after selecting my folder. I've even tried different combinations of settings, but nothing seems to solve the problem. Included is an image of the Scan Folders window after I selected my folder.

The 'proceed' button is grayed-out because you haven't selected any folders.

Where/how exactly are you choosing the folders? Another screenshot might be helpful.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

That's the problem - I try to select folders, but the "Proceed" option remains grayed-out. Here is a screenshot of the window that pops up when I click "Choose folders". I select my music folder, hit "OK", but the previous screen does not change at all.

Have you checked the BOX next to the Music folder, not just highlighted its name?

Ah. I did not notice the box that needed to be checked. As always, silly me. Everything is working perfectly. Thank you both for the quick replies!
