Playlist not being created in phone

After creating my playlist in Musicbee, I download it to my android phone. The songs in the list will download to the phone but it will not create a playlist. I have to manually create the list on the phone and add the songs to the list. Is there something I am missing?

How are you "downloading" it to the phone?

Are you putting the playlist in a location where the player you're using can see it in a format the player can read?

I am using standard patch cable. USB connection from pc to phone. Using the standard file transfer protocol.

I mean how, within MusicBee, are you syncing to your phone?  The steps, etc.

This may help explain the options.

You can't just take a playlist from your computer and move it to your phone.  The file locations are different on each device.  I mean, I guess you can, but getting it right is probably more complicated than just doing it the right way.

Your player should have an import playlist feature, the one I use is PiMusic and it works great.
