Hi,

i remove all individual folders that my mp3s were in and just added them back onto the hd. i rescan that drive in mb and all data that were in my custom fields are missing. can someone explain to me why this happen please. i wouldn't think by removing from a folder and then just adding back onto a hd would cause this. side note the missing data show up in mp3tag.

Thanks

Dbee

You probably had the custom tags saved to MB's database and not as a tag within the file. You can chose how you want that handled when you're setting up the custom tag(s).
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Preferences > Tags (1) > custom tags >
Use whichever tag you wish.
Choose a tag that you're no likely to use in the futuer. I've used copyright, publisher, commercial info.
