Crossfade when manually switching tracks 1000% needs to be a thing.

Unless I am mistaken, crossfade ONLY works when playing a random/shuffles list of tracks.  I say only because, there are not many instances you would want to crossfade an artists album.  This is almost a deal breaker for me.

We use MusicBee because we love music.  We do not want the music to stop.  Please add this to the wishlist.

You just did.
Does Preferences > Player > Sound Effects > crossfade tracks for x minutes not work for you?
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

That is precisely what does not work for me.

With this option enable and set for 10 seconds, I get zero crossfade.  None.  Not in any situation.

If the 'crossfade when skipping tracks' is enabled I hear the crossfade when (and only when) I advance tracks, i.e. click the right arrow / next track button.  If I manually switch to a different track, i.e. double-click any other track/album, I get no crossfade.  I really would like to hear crossfade always.

if you meant it only doesn't work when double clicking another song in the playing tracks list, then yes thats right. It should work in other cases. For the next v3.4 update, it will now also crossfade when double clicking another track as long as "crossfade when skipping tracks" is ticked

Will this also work when selecting a new playlist?  Also, is there any indication when we might see 3.4?

Sorry to press but these are pretty essential features for my use case.

3.4 is only alpha at this time and there is no timeline.
