I purchased an album from Amazon and downloaded the mp3s. They will play in Groove Music but not in MusicBee or Sonos. When I click play in MusicBee, nothing happens. When I try it in Sonos, it says, "MP3 not encoded correctly."

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thank you,

First thing would be to re-download the files, you may have gotten a corrupted download.  If the problem persists, do a scan/repair with MP3val (http://mp3val.sourceforge.net/).  If that doesn't fix things, there are other repair tools you can try, but at that point I'd complain to Amazon.  I've never had a problem with any of the stuff I've purchased from them.

You might also post a text readout of one of the files from MediaInfo (https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo).  They may not even be mp3 files, despite the extension.

Amazon appears to allow offline listening only with Windows Media Player (Groove), iTunes and Amazon Music.

That doesn't appear to be true. Right at the top of the link you posted...
"...to another media player, like iTunes or Windows Media Player." (Emphasis mine.) It doesn't say only. It says "like".

I download music from Amazon and listen to it with MB. What they provide when downloaded is an mp3 file. You can play it with any player that handles mp3s.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.
