Just today noticed that I am getting a crazy up/down volume effect .  It cycles about every 3-4 seconds.  Not a huge fluctuation, but enough to make me think I was losing my mind.  Tried iTunes and it is not there, and not on VLC.  Any ideas?  I have not changed any settings on this machine recently.

Does it happen on all files, or only some?  If the latter, provide a screenshot of the tags from Tag Inspector.  Are your files tagged with replay gain or other related settings (iTunes Soundcheck tags, etc.)?  Have you activated the "Normalise files with replay gain tags" setting in MusicBee?

Do you have some sort of DSP (a compressor / limiter) active?

Hi guys.  Just getting back on this.  No leveling on anything.  No compressor, and this all started when I upgraded about a month ago.  Every song.

I upgraded Musicbee recently  to latest version.
What's the version number?
And is it the Installer, Portable, or Store version?
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Version 3.3.7310 is what I have been using , the installer version.
Before rolling back to a previous version, I suggest applying the latest patch (3.3.7354 as of yesterday.) See my sig.
If that doesn't take care of it, then do a rollback.

Well, applied the patch.  Still having the issue.  NOT having the same issue with other computer, and not having it with iTunes or MediaMonkey.  Too weird.  I'm thinking of plugging in a USB soundcard at this point and seeing what happens.  After that, if still the same, I'll revert back to 3.2  Thanks for the help.

OK.  Did not go for the new USB card.  I just Reverted to 3.2. 6902 for now.  I have no  "wow" volume issues now.  Freaky.

Interestingly enough, now having the same issue on another computer which was not doing it originally.  Very frustrating.
