Hello. I have been using Music Bee successfully for some time, until today. All my son's CD's I rip onto a PC so that he has them on his phone. I tried to rip a CD earlier. The album, tracks, art work etc. were recognised. The CD ripped but the tracks would not encode. The message said access was denied.

I know there have been similar questions before but I couldn't find a solution in the answers. I'm not overly proficient with this process so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

you need to ensure you have access to the folder that the error message displays - that includes checking the access in the Security tab of the windows explorer properties for that folder

Hello. Thank you very much for the reply. Unfortunately the explanation means nothing to me. As I said, I'm not overly proficient. Could you explain what you mean by the folder that the error message displays. Thank you

What folder are you ripping files to?

The folder is the ripped files folder within the Music Bee folder within music. This is a folder created automatically by Music Bee.

Hmm. That's strange, because if MusicBee creeated the folder it should be able to write to it. But see if you move your target folder to the desktop (preferences > CD ripping), if you still have the problem.

Can you post a screenshot of the error.
It might be the windows temporary files folder that is the problem

Thank you. The problem is resolved. I changed the user account to an administrator account. The CD in question is now encoding. I don't know whether this was the cause or just coincidence but it's fine now.

Thank you for the collective assistance.
