Is playing an MKV file as audio only within MusicBee possible?

I don't want to play the video track just the audio track if this is possible.

At this time, no (although you can configure it to call a video player to do it).  However, if the audio is extracted first to a *.mka audio file, MusicBee will play that fine if you add the basswebm.dll (http://www.un4seen.com/download.php?basswebm24) to your MB directory and are using the MusicBee 3.3x Configuration.xml file.

You can use the AIMP player to play audio-only directly from a *.mkv video.

Just tested it with two MKVs:
One containing a video and audio stream
One containing only an AAC audio stream.

In both cases, MusicBee opened the file in the default program associated with MKV files.
You can specify a different program to use, but it doesn't appear that MusicBee will try to process it at all.

-edit-
Renamed the audio only track to .mka and MusicBee did play it internally.
Bee excellent to each other...

Beat me to it!

However, if the audio is extracted first to a *.mka audio file, MusicBee will play that fine if you add the basswebm.dll (http://www.un4seen.com/download.php?basswebm24) to your MB directory and are using the MusicBee 3.3x Configuration.xml file.

However, I think this requirement will be dependent on the codec used for the audio stream, rather than basswebm being a requirement for all .mka files. MusicBee played my test .mka file with an AAC track, and I don't have the basswebm decoder installed.
