Help with a single tab layout issue?

Hey guys,

Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find anything quite the same.

I'm trying to simply add a tab for a single artist, which is easy enough. I'd like to hide the left sidebar for just that tab because I don't need to navigate on it and it gives me more space. My problem is that when I do, it pulls me out of that artist and dumps me into the list of all artists. Thus I have to turn the sidebar back on to get to the right artist and it creates an endless loop.

I tried to settle for locking navigation but that doesn't work either, it still navigates away.

Any ideas? Sorry if this is a stupid question but TIA.
