I have done a search and can't find an explanation or solution to this behavior....so here I am looking for help from the experts.

When I edit either a single file or multiple files (same album) the volume adjustment  and equaliser preset options are grayed out.  I can check the boxes and a green check does appear, but no changes can be saved or applied.  Checking the eq preset and choosing one of my eq presets doesn't effect the sound at all.

Am I doing something wrong?  I have tried this with both flac files as well as mp3 files.

Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if this will resolve the issue, but is your equalizer enabled?
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Thanks for your reply.  Yes, my equaliser is activated and functioning.  I even tried disabling the EQ, but that didn't change the problem.  Grayed out whether EQ is activated or not.

What MB version are you using?
(this looks like an old version to me?)

Mine are grey but the check boxes work and the presets save fine.

Are these files in your library?

I just figured it out.  I didn't think about it before, but these type changes are not made on the fly like the global EQ settings.  The file with the changes made has to be restarted and then the changes are made.

Thanks for your help.
