Just pondering the Loudness Wars, and the ability of tools like Audacity to show FSD clipping in files. Since MB has a wave display, is there an option to add clipping indication (e.g a red sample line) in the wave display?

And, if not, would there be any support for a feature request to do this?

Or even to add a DR measurement tool/tagger in MB? There's a previous discussion about using external tools to add DR tags:

i detect musicbee is crashing if mp3 files with clipping exist, and direct sound is configured.
with wasapi output the file is just skipped with musicbee.

MB does not have this feature at present. Requests for new features can be posted in the Musicbee Wishlist forum. I use the Send To function to open tracks in Audacity if I need to check for clipping.

There has been discussion, and a plugin is in development. See the thread for that plugin here: https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=28208.msg156768#msg156768

Something's wrong somewhere with your system.  Just playing a file that has clipping will not cause MusicBee to crash or skip a file.  Providing some details as to your MusicBee version, player prefs setup, active plugins, and OS may help someone suggest a reason, as well as uploading one of the files that causes this behavior.
