Sorting songs/artists that start with 'The'

Hi all

I like my library as clean and correct as possible, this includes going through id3-tags to set the 'sort by' with songs/artists that start with 'the' correct (standard the 'the' comes at the end of the title/artist).

Is there anyway this can be standard that 'the' comes at the beginning instead of the end? Is there a plugin that does this?

Preferences > Sorting/Grouping > either untick the ignore words option, or just remove the word "The" from the field.

Also check the sorting tab of the tag editor.

Thanks for the answer, but unfortunately that box was already unticked.

That's how I do it now, via the tag editor, but to go through every song is quite cumbersome...

Add some made-up word to the "ignore word" setting and enable it. Just disabling it defaults to using "the".
