I've installed this old winamp DSP plugin and on first use it maintains all the the built in presets but once I close MusicBee the presets are gone on next run. Does anyone else use this plugin and is there a workaround?

Winamp plugins have a "if it works, it works, if not..." warranty on MusicBee  ;)   Your best bet is to switch to VST plugins that can do the same thing as this ancient one and more.  There are beaucoup free ones out there, including at iZotope: https://www.izotope.com/en/im-looking-for/free-audio-plug-ins.html

You will need to install the newly updated MusicBee VST host plugin mb_vst.dll, downloadable at the link in Steven's post here: https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=13022.msg153877#msg153877

NOTE:  the above is NOT the same as the older mb_vst.dll on the regular Plugins page in the Add-Ons section.

Then, be sure you are running the latest version of MusicBee 3.3x (https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?board=6.0), with the new bass_vst.dll file installed (also in the latest 3.3 patch file https://getmusicbee.com/patches/MusicBee33_Patched.zip).

Caveat:  "Not all VST plugins will work."  Share your results and any questions in the subforum here: https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=13022.0 .

Thanks. I found a VST I liked before I checked back here but am still using the older VST host plugin from the plugins page here.

I'm running the latest MusicBee. Should I update the bass_st.dll with the one in Steven's post or is that the same as the one installed with MB?

Hmm. Oddly the VST plugin I had that worked with the old dll adds a static-y noise to my music with the new one. In the meantime I'm getting caught up on the thread you recommended @sveakul

Your bass_vst.dll should be version 2.4.0.9 (mod date 1/6/2019); that is the one included in the latest MusicBee 3.3x update I gave you the link to.  If you're already running that with the newer mb_vst.dll and still see a performance degradation from what you were using before, please post the full details on the VST Plugin thread and hopefully Steven can take a look.  See you there!
