A screenshot of Edit->Edit Preferences->Player would be helpful here.  No one will be figure it out without more details about your setup.

Good Morning from Hungary ....

So Yesterday evening i gave up, simply  I was to tired to debug ....

Today in the morning I switch on my laptop,
then check answer for my problem on forum,
and start MB to make a screenshot of PLAYER settings ...
But before that I gave a one more try to PLAY, .... and ... it is working ( as expected) !

THe MB PLAYER settings are :
- WASAPI (Shared)
- XMOS USB Audio
- It is Toppind D30 USB DAC

I would like to upload screen shot of PLAYER settings here, but I need help : how to upload ?

What happened ?

- As I explain in my previous post, this is a fresh install, with first library scan ...
- While the MB scaned the library, I'm listen music from the FooBar.
- FooBars Output Device was : ASIO : XMOS USB Audio 2.0 ST 3066 ( Toppind D30).
- And it is very likely that it took audio output exclusively, and blocked it.
- After exiting from the Foobar the audio output was still blocked, not released, maybe some FooBars module was still running in the background ....
- So, MB had no chance to play ...

- I tested this "dangerous" players combination.

- 1. No modification, just start FooBar, play something and exit.

      After that MB was blocked.

- 2. Changing FooBars output to Windows device ( DS : Speakers ( XMOS USB Audio)), playing something and exit.

MB output was not blocked any more, it can play ....

From above I like to suggest to developers that there is a need to check availability of output device ( before play), and warn user that player device was blocked ....

And of course FooBar developers need to do some modification in his code ...

Thank You One More Time for fast Help !
